Yes, your notebook supports M.2 NVMe SSD's.

It really worked.

I got SAMSUNG 980 PRO PCIe 4.0 NVMe® SSD 1TB and it worked very fine but at maximum speed 1800 MB/s due to the interface is PCIe Gen. 3 x 4 . but the laptop performance improved a lot than with the HDD.

The good news is you can transfer the PCIe Gen 4 SSD to a newer model notebook or desktop PC one day that has a Gen 4 SSD slot.
