Hi:

According to chapter 1 of the service manual, your notebook's M.2 slot supports SATA SSD's only.

Maintenance and Service Guide HP Pavilion x360 14m Convertible PCIMPORTANT! This document is intende...

It does indicate that your notebook supports NVMe Optane memory, but the slot is PCIe Gen 3 x2, which means that a NVMe SSD may work at only half speed, or not work at all.  It would be a gamble.

For use only on computer models with model number 14m-ba2xx: 16-GB, 2280, Peripheral Component
Interconnect Express (PCIe)-3×2, Non-Volatile Memory Express (NVMe), 3S XP solid-state drive.

This discussion shows that a NVMe SSD works in the older model series...so maybe one will work in yours too.
