Can the processor be upgraded, currently a i5 2450, looking to get the max out of whatever processor if compatible. Read could upgrade to Intel Core i7-2760QM or Intel Core i7-2960XM . Thank you.

I'm afraid HP neither recommends nor supports changing the processor of your device as it may render the device unstable due to incompatibility among other components of your device.

You may want to check the HP service and maintenance guide for details on the parts tested for your device if you wish to proceed anyway, however, you may have to do the same at your own discretion.
