Hi @Raja_dgl,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

When a new battery has a significantly different full charge capacity compared to the design capacity, it can be due to a few factors.

  • Battery Calibration: Sometimes, the new battery needs calibration. This involves fully charging and then fully discharging the battery a few times to help the system accurately measure its capacity.
  • System and Battery Management: The laptop's battery management software may not be fully updated or calibrated to the new battery. Ensure that your BIOS and any battery management software are up to date.
  • Battery Health: If the new battery is not from an original manufacturer or is of lower quality, its performance may not meet the design specifications.
  • Power Settings and Usage: The way you use the laptop (e.g., high-performance settings or power-saving modes) can affect how the battery's capacity is reported.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
