HP Pavillion
Microsoft Windows 8 (32-bit)

Hi! I 'm wondering if I should buy a new hard drive for my husband's lap top. He has a HP Pavillion Dolby g6. A6 Vision AMD. I took all the info off the computer I could find.

The problem he's having is the hard drive spools up, gets real hot, so hot he needs to place a pillow on his lap beneath the computer.  It also makes a noise  and it runs very slow. Maybe I'm wrong in assuming it's the hard drive. But his birthday is coming up and it would be nice to know how I can fix his computer.

Your thoughts?
