I have 16-r1045nt and couldnt find the answer, i am unable to open and look at the motherboard before going to purchase a new ssd

Since your PC came with an i7-14700HX processor, the notebook has support for two M.2 NVMe SSD's.

 

The 16-r1xxx notebooks that come with the Intel 'H' processors only have support for one M.2 NVMe SSD.

 

Below is the link to the service manual for the 16-r0xxx model series which is the only one available.
