i was wondering how I could find the amount of ram I could add to my computer, all help would be great, thanks!

see p. 6. Yours is a 7th gen model. There are two slots. It uses DDR4-2400 SO-DIMM which will bridge (downclock) to 2133 speed. So right now you have a 4 gb module and an open slot. You can uprade to 2 x 8 and in fact, although not reflected in the Manual, you could install 2 x 16 = 32 gigs.
This site has options to buy whatever size modules you want. These will work for you:
