Product: CQ61-402SA
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

The computer freezes when I am  multi-tasking - Using skype with google docs and looking at a web site. 

It has been suggested to me that an increase in RAM might help

My question is how much RAM will this model support and how many memory slots does it have.  I already have 4gb RAM - would like to go to 8gb - will this be possible.

It will support max 8GB of DDR2-800

 

It has two slots , so you can use 2x4GB. Most likely at the moment you have 2x2GB since the PC originally came with 2GB.
