Can I upgrade the RAM in my dv6-2170us notebook from 2009 ?

Your machine has  4GB DDR3 System Memory (2 DIMM) - that means 2 x 2GB or both slots now have 1 RAM stick each. You can upgrade to 8GB using the following compatible RAM (you need to replace both slots):
