i just bought ram ddr3l 4gb  for upgrade my hp 840 G1

 

ram picram pic

but when I used that, I got an issue

Is this not a compatible format for 840 G1 ?

I wonder if they mislabeled the memory part or put the wrong label on the package?

 

DDR3L 1.35V memory definitely should have worked, and the only time you should be getting that message is if you installed DDR3 (1.5V) memory in your notebook.

 

1.35V memory will work in either a notebook that requires 1.5V or 1.35V memory, but 1.5V memory will not work in a notebook that requires 1.35V memory such as yours.
