Hi @Dumb12345,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
Try these steps:
Check Cartridge Placement:
- Open the ink cartridge access door.
- Ensure that the cartridges are correctly installed. The cartridge should snap into place securely when inserted correctly.
Cartridge Compatibility:
- Verify that you are using the correct cartridge type for the HP Envy 6055 printer. The cartridge model should match what is specified in your printer's manual or Instant Ink subscription.
Clean the Contacts:
- Turn off the printer and unplug it.
- Remove the cartridges and gently clean the copper-colored contacts on both the ink cartridges and the printer with a lint-free cloth slightly moistened with distilled water.
- Let the contacts dry completely before reinserting the cartridges.
Reset the Printer:
- Unplug the printer from the power source.
- Wait for about 60 seconds.
- Plug it back in and turn on the printer. This can sometimes clear minor errors and reset the printer's internal memory.
Check for Firmware Updates:
- Ensure your printer's firmware is up to date. Visit HP Support to download any updates for your model.
Disable and Re-enable Instant Ink (if applicable):
- Sometimes, disabling Instant Ink in the printer settings and then re-enabling it can help resolve issues related to cartridge recognition.
I hope this helps.
