HP Envy X360 Convertible 2 in 1 15m-cp0010nr.
My current SSD (250GB) HP spare L25974-001 and my second SSD is V-NAND SSD 860 QVO SANTA 6GB/S. I hooked up my second ssd by using hard drive cable 924326-001 connect to new SSD and hook it up to mother board. If I keep both SSD's on the laptop it won't recognize my new SSD only the current SSD, but if I removed current SSD and leave new SSD and then it see this new hard drive. I believe some how we need to set up primary and secondary hard drive. I did on my desktop and it works but I do not know how to set up on laptop.

If you start a new thread or find an answer to this I'd love to know as well. I just picked up the cable and rubber shell for my Samsung 860 EVO hard drive and got everything connected but the drive doesn't pop up when I try to setup and format it in the disk manager.

I was finally able to get this drive to initiate after some research and following a couple of videos I found. First you are going to want to follow the steps that are outline in this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KpfyOJoZuIs. This will take you into the BIOS system but you don't actually make any changes in here. When your computer reboots you should be able to follow the instructions on this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZxV6IcNvbek&t=8s to format the disk.
After I followed the steps in the first video and rebooted the computer, I was able to see the drive in the hardware list so I followed the steps from video two and it immediately asked me to format the second drive, just like it does in the video. I suspect that if you follow each video you'll have your drive up and running. Good luck!
