hp g56 130-sa wifi card upgrade

hp g56 130-sa
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

I am trying to upgrade my wifi card in my laptop and i have almost decided which card to buy, the Intel® Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260 Plus Bluetooth. however due to the whitelist issues on some of the hp laptop bios's i am unsure if it will be compatible. does anyone know if this card is whitelisted or not for the hp g56 130-sa?

hp g56 130-sa wifi card upgrade

Hi:

Unfortunately, your notebook's BIOS has the whitelist which means you can only install one of the supported wireless network cards listed in the service manual for your notebook.

It also must have the HP part number on it or it will not work.

The Intel 7260 AC card will definitely not work in your notebook.

You're very welcome.

The card you posted on the eBay link definitely won't work.

You need one of the cards listed in the service manual...chapter 3, page 19.

If the wireless card you have now is working, then I wouldn't bother to try and replace it with one of the other ones listed in the manual, unless you really want to have one that is also a combination wifi/bluetooth card.

There is one listed there that is only for AMD notebooks, and your has Intel hardware.
