Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have an pavilion 15-cc665cl and i would like to ad an extra m.2 ssd apart of the hdd it already has. so i can run the OS on the ssd, but I did some research and i found that not all m.2 ssd are compatible with mi laptop, i would like to know if this m.2 is compatible with it, because this ssd is like half the size of normal m.2, is there any difference between a normal m.2 and this small one??m2s.pngm2.png

Hi:

The drive in your screenshot is not a M.2 drive.

It is a mSATA drive...a totally different drive type.

You need a M.2 2280 drive for your model and you may as well get the NVMe version since it provides better performance than SATA.

Below is the link to the service manual for your notebook.

Chapter 1 shows the supported drive types.

Solid-state drive:
For use only on computer models with model numbers 15-cc1xx and 15-cc6xx:
● 512-GB, 2280, Peripheral Component Interconnect Express (PCIe), Non-Volatile Memory Express (NVMe)
solid-state drive
● 256-GB, 2280, PCIe, NVMe solid-state drive

This is what the NVMe drive looks like that fits in your notebook...
