hp spectre x360 usb c charging point not working

Ive seen lots of advice on these but they are from few years back.

My usb c charge point stopped working unless i moved the charger around to a certain point. HP told me the day after warranty ran out I would have to pay £400 to fix. Ive taken to a shop and they are struggling to find this part and say HP no longer use this and therefore unable to get hold of.

Can anyone please help? Im a single mum and saved for over a year to get a good laptop paying £1,400 for this to see the next xmas it went in the sale at half price. I cannot afford £400.

i bought another HP charger but it wouldnt charge on any other ports. Is this right as im seeing it can be charged another way?

 

any advice would be so appreciated! I will never buy an HP laptop again nor would i recommend getting one,

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, 

 

I appreciate your efforts to try and resolve the issue, and in order to fix this issue,  your computer needs to be serviced.  As we have limited support boundaries in the support community as of now,

 

As this is a hardware issue, I'd suggest youContact HPin your region regarding the service options for your computer. 

 

If you are having trouble navigating through the above options, it's most likely because the device is out of warranty. If yes? please send me a private message with the region you are contacting us from. Check next to your profile Name, you should see a little blue envelope, please click on it.

Hi Praveen,

I have a HP Spectre X360 13-aw 1year and 2 months and it stop charging with the USB-C although the amber light is flashing. Can you help? Should I have it serviced by a service center? It's a pity that it has just been out of warranty for 1 month. Any help would be appreciated. I don't know how to send you a private message as you mentioned.
