i have a 7 year old hp notebook that has 8gb of ram and i wanted to upgrade the ram, but i do not know thw maximum amount i can put in it so i could get the most out of the laptop beacuse i use it for gaming and 8gb ram wasnt enough 

specs of my laptop 

8gb ram 

224 gb ssd (upgraded)

AMD A10 9600P quad core cpu

AMD radeon r5 graphics

It depends on what model HP notebook you have, but normally notebooks with the A10 9600P processors will support 2 x 8 GB of memory.

i looked for the modle of my laptop and it said it was a 15-ba053nr i looked under the laptop and it said that in the modle spot

Chapter 1 of the service manual indicates your notebook can support 2 x 8 GB of DDR4-2400 MHz memory that will run at 1866 MHz:
