Which are intake vents and which outlets on the HP Pavilion dm4-1xxx series "notebooks" ?

(there seem to be to major ones in the sides of the computer near the CPU and another smaller one in the bottom near the middle)

Yes, that's right. There IS only ONE fan.

It's under (about)  the CPU,  I assume it draws in (inlet) and expels(oule) air through the vents on the edges (sides) of the laptop, on at the back and on on the left.  My question stll is which as the inlet and which the outlet ?  The drawings do not point to an "air inlet" vent nor an air "outlet" vent.  (On some laptops there is only one vent which serves as both the intake and the oulet which I don't really understnd unless the air tube inside is partitioned into two halves)
