There are two M.2 slots, at right angles to each other. Here is the Service Manual:
See item 4 on p. 20. There is a bracket you can add to mount a second M.2 SSD at the right end of the battery bay. The Manual does a poor job of showing this, but you can see the secondary slot on p. 39.
