Apparently I need to install drive bracket, cable and connector board part# l22535-001,l22542-001 and l22527-001

to add the nvme m.2. Does the bracket mount to the side of the battery opposite the standard hard drive and where does the cable plug in. Thanks

You have to remove existing HDD and REPLACE it with M.2 board, connector .... that means you will throw away existing HDD. This location uses SATA 3 controller therefore NVMe won't work.

Do you really want to replace existing HDD ? Why not use 2.5" SATA SSD, much cheaper and do not have to install cable and connector board part# l22535-001,l22542-001 and l22527-001.

Regards.

Thank you for reply. According to manual both drives are supported. I was going to add nvme drive for OS and leave

current hard drive for storage. Also for a laptop less than 6 months old HP doesn't have the parts mentioned and can't find them any place
