@smetanka1, Welcome to HP Support Community,
Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue
I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing keyboard issues after updating your Envy laptop to Windows 11. Let's try to resolve this problem.
Update Keyboard Drivers:
- Go to the Device Manager by right-clicking on the Start button and selecting "Device Manager."
- Find "Keyboards" and expand the section.
- Right-click on your keyboard device (e.g., Standard PS/2 Keyboard) and select "Update driver."
- Choose "Search automatically for updated driver software" and follow the instructions.
Check for Windows Updates:
- Go to "Settings" > "Update & Security" > "Windows Update."
- Click on "Check for updates" and install any available updates. Sometimes new updates include bug fixes that might resolve your issue.
Run the Windows Troubleshooter:
- Navigate to "Settings" > "System" > "Troubleshoot."
- Select "Additional troubleshooters," then find and run the "Keyboard" troubleshooter.
Disable Fast Startup:
- Open "Control Panel" > "Hardware and Sound" > "Power Options."
- Click on "Choose what the power buttons do."
- At the top, click “Change settings that are currently unavailable.”
- Uncheck "Turn on fast startup (recommended)" and save your changes.
- Restart your laptop and see if the issue persists.
Reinstall the Keyboard Driver:
- In Device Manager, right-click your keyboard and select "Uninstall device."
- Restart your computer, which will automatically reinstall the driver.
Check for BIOS Update:
- Visit the HP Support website and enter your laptop's model number.
- Look for any available BIOS updates. If available, follow the instructions to update your BIOS carefully.
