Pavilion x360-14-cd052
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi,

I got buy the x360 for my wife 2 1/2 years ago. Maybe already seem old to some but it has been quite a ride...

Initially, the laptop was quite slow and I thought it just needed to be updated. However, it only got worse to the point the laptop cannot be used for even the simplest things. We brought it back to the store while still under warranty and they call back and said it will need to run overnight to install missing updates (I was not able to do the same as it got too slow). However, they were recommended to have a solid-state disk installed as it would help speed it up. I said no, as I bought a product and would expect it to work. I got it back but still too slow to be practically used for even simple tasks. Lockdown came and nobody was listening to complaints. So, I got buy the SSD and more ram and the laptop worked great. That is until keys '9', 'o', 'l', '.', ' stopped working. I tried everything recommended from this and other sites but nothing worked. The only thing I can share is the failure ID: M0C6XA-9B6AMB-GXGJ2K-G4MB03

To make matters worse, the screen popped out and after investigating it was the hinge that has broken off. Plenty of those stories around. At this point, I am not willing to spend more money on the laptop so I glued the hinge screw seats back which seem to be somewhat ok but in the process, I managed to crack the screen. Fantastic.

Not a great experience, so now I am taking my SSD and ram back and the laptop is going to recycle....

Hi @Aex01, Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I understand the keyboard stopped working on your PC.

Don't worry I'll try to help you out.

Did you make any software or hardware changes to your PC?

Let's start off by performing a Hard Reset -

1) Shutdown the computer.

2) Unplug all the Adapter and peripherals connected.

3) Press and hold down the power button for 15 to 20 seconds.

4) Plug-in the Adapter.

5) Try to turn on the computer.

Next thing, I would suggest here is to Run Windows Updates troubleshooter -

Download and install the troubleshooter from this link.

Now try to perform Windows Updates -

1) In the search box, type, and open Windows Updates.

2) Check for updates.

3) If the updates are available, click on install and restart the computer.

Update the BIOS and chipset driver on your PC and check if it helps.

You can update the drivers on your PC using the HP support assistant.
