m7 Envy defective hinge need help to replace

HP Envy m7-j010dx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

As with other HP users I need help to repair defective Hinges that are breaking and spliting frame apart all this started happening  after warranty expired.

Hi,

Envy M6 series laptops have a design flaw acknowledged by HP. M7 have probably the same issue and the only fix is to replace the base enclosure. I have done it on a M6 but sold the laptop after. I didn't even know about the issue back then. There is a thread on this forum where you can contact a HP representative with this issue. Unfortunately I don't know which one. Seach for "Envy M6 hinge problem".
