what is the maximum recommended ram for hp notebook 15-bs158nia as i would like to purchase an 8GB kingston PC3-12800 to add to the existing 4gb ram?

Hi:

 

The max is 2 x 8 GB of memory, so you would be able to add an 8 GB memory chip in the empty slot.
