Hi,

Can you let me know what processor is in each notebook as it depends if you have Pentium/Celeron processor or 6th or 7th generation Intel core processor for the HP 250 G6. You can see on page 2 of service manual:

http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c05485525

Now the 255 G6 has a AMD processor and the max is 8GB of DDR4 2400Mhz which will run at 1866Mhz as you can see on page 1 of service manual for that model.

Hope it helps,

David

how can I check what is the processor into my 250G6?

HP Recommended

Press Fn + ESC it should give HP info where you can see processor.

You can also go into taskmanager (Gestione attivita) and click on more details and go to tab performance > CPU

Hi,

Naturally I also have checked the link before posting it.

Even if the service manual mentions 16GB of DDR4 as the max memory. HP DDR4 systems with 7th/8th generation core processors will support 32GB of RAM (2x16GB) as many users have tried successfully.
