HP, as far as I know, does not sell its motherboards in the retail channel -- so you would have to be buying this from someone else and THEY would be responsible for providing any warranty, and most places that supply computer parts limit that to 30-90 days, depending on the seller.
If, on the other hand, you are paying HP to replace the motherboard in an existing PC, the warranty period of the original PC is the governing factor, and no new warranty period is added for the motherboard.
