my charger for laptop stops then when unplugged and replugged it works for some minutes and so on

my charger for the laptop stops then when unplugged from the wall and replugged,  it works for some minutes and so on.

what may be is the cause. also, I ran a diagnostic test for ac adaptor and it passed, also the battery.

note the battery is detachable and it has nothing to do with this.

Does the Notebook shut down after a while if you remove the Battery and run it only with the AC Adapter?

yes it does if battery is unattached or attached

Please get to the BIOS Screen and check if the Notebook shuts down in BIOS as well

 

If the issue persists please contact HP Support in your region for service options

 

1) Click on this link - www.hp.com/contacthp/ 
2) Select your product type below.
3) Enter the serial of your device. 
4) Select the country from the drop-down. 
5) Select the chat or get phone number options based on your preferences. 
6) Fill the web-form and proceed further.
