basically,i have an HP Pavilion laptop and it came with a pen(I got it a year ago), My pen is charged but the courser is not showing up and the pen is not writing anymore
I have tried to click the side buttons I have tried to check in Reddit but all it says is that I need to press the up button, which my pen does not have, I have also tried changing the tip but that didn't work either
So what can I do?

Hi @lamachill,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I'm sorry to hear that your Pavilion pen is not working anymore. To troubleshoot and potentially resolve the issue, you can try the following steps.
- Check the Battery: Ensure that the pen has a functioning battery. Some digital pens require batteries, so make sure the battery is not depleted or improperly inserted.
- Reconnect or Re-Pair the Pen: If your Pavilion pen connects via Bluetooth or a similar wireless technology, try disconnecting and then reconnecting or re-pairing it with your device. This often helps re-establish the connection.
- Restart Your Device: Sometimes, a simple restart of your computer or device can resolve issues with peripheral devices like digital pens.
- Update Drivers or Firmware: Visit the HP website or the manufacturer's website for your Pavilion pen to check if there are any driver or firmware updates available. Installing the latest updates can often resolve compatibility issues.
- Clean the Pen Tip and Screen: Dirt or debris on the pen tip or the screen can interfere with its functionality. Clean both the pen tip and the screen gently with a soft, lint-free cloth.
- Try Another Surface: Test the pen on a different surface or device to see if the issue persists. This will help determine if the problem is with the pen itself or the device you're using it with.
- Check for Physical Damage: Inspect the pen for any physical damage, such as a bent or damaged tip. If you find any damage, you may need to replace the pen or the damaged parts.
- Check Settings: Ensure that your device's settings for the pen are correctly configured. This may involve checking the input settings in your operating system or specific applications you are using.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
