@hr09082003, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Webcam Issues on Victus by HP 15.6 inch Gaming Laptop!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
If your integrated webcam is showing error 0xA00F4244 stating "No cameras are attached," and the camera is not listed in Device Manager, follow these steps to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:
Restart Your Laptop
- Restart your computer: Sometimes, restarting can resolve hardware detection issues.
Check Webcam Privacy Settings
- Locate and toggle the webcam privacy switch: Some HP notebooks come with a webcam privacy switch located on either side of the computer or next to the camera. Slide the switch away from the icon to turn the webcam on.
Run Webcam Connection Test
- Verify that the webcam privacy switch or webcam shutter key has not disabled the webcam: This can be an issue if the camera isn't recognized.
- Run the Webcam Connection Test: Use HP PC Hardware Diagnostics to check for hardware failures.
Verify Webcam in Device Manager
- Check Device Manager: Restart your computer and open Device Manager to see if the Imaging devices category appears after scanning for hardware changes.
- Go to Action > Scan for hardware changes in Device Manager.
Microsoft System Restore
- Use Microsoft System Restore: If the camera worked previously, use System Restore to revert the laptop to a time when the webcam was functioning properly.
Hope this helps!
Take care, and have an amazing day!
