no ethernet port on my new HP laptop? can HP send me an adapter so I can connect to my ethernet cable?

Many HP (and others) machines specially thinner machines do not have RJ45 port. For example

I actually use the following one for my Surface machine.

 

                  https://www.amazon.com.au/Anker-Aluminum-Portable-Gigabit-Ethernet/dp/B00PC07T02

 

and I've got 2 more USB-3 ports. They also sell 4,5,6,7 port adapters
