I hope I am in the right group. I have a notebook that will not power on. With the power plug in or using just the battery. I have checked the battery, checked that power adapter. I am still not getting in power led light on the computer when I push the power button. Any suggestion.
In that case it is more than likely the motherboard. Based on specs it is probably 2-3 years old so not under warranty. If it is you need to make a claim. Otherwise your best repair option is high-tech shops that run auctions for their services on eBay. They can rework the circuits on the motherboard to make it work again. Costs maybe $150. Replacing the motherboard would run $400+. The vast majority of people who have this happen buy a new laptop. If you want to pursue repair post back. I have no interest in these shops I have just helped several people this way and used these shops myself a couple times.
