I am trying to find out about the upgradability of the HP 15s-fq1556nd ( a i5 1035g1 based system) and if it has 1 or 2 sodimm slots but when i searched for the maintainence maual to check it, i was was pointed to a ryzen 5 system manual for a differnt product.

@Raymond_Murray here's all you need to know about it:
Disclaimer: I must let you know that HP does not recommend upgrades or hardware changes as the device is equipped with parts that perform at its optimal performance by design, that said, the upgradeable parts listed by HP articles are purely for your ease, as the decision to upgrade will be at your own discretion.
(Replacement procedure / step by steps on how to replace the parts are also included in the same guide)
Check out the image below for details on parts tested and approved by HP to work on your device, also use the above link for keyword search to find the parts you need, along with its part numbers.
Both slots have been marked as non-replaceable by HP as it could be complicated to do, and we don't recommend doing it on your own, which is why I personally suggest you check with a local tech to be on a safer side.
