Hi @othmanr1 ,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It seems like you're facing some issues with your OMEN 15 laptop's battery after a BIOS update. Here are some steps you can take to try and resolve the problem:

Check BIOS Settings:

  • Enter the BIOS settings during startup (usually by pressing a key like F10 or Esc).
  • Look for any battery-related settings and ensure they are configured correctly.
  • Reset BIOS settings to default if necessary.

Update BIOS:

  • Check if there is a newer BIOS version available on the manufacturer's website.
  • If an update is available, download and install it from the HP instructions.

Rollback BIOS Update:

  • If the issue started after a recent BIOS update, consider rolling back to the previous version.
  • Check the manufacturer's website or support forums for instructions on how to perform a BIOS rollback.

HP Battery Health Check:

  • HP laptops often come with built-in battery health diagnostics. Run the HP Battery Health Check utility to get more detailed information about the battery's status.

Check Battery Connections:

  • Ensure that the battery is properly connected to the laptop. Try reseating the battery and checking for any loose connections.

Verify Battery Authenticity:

  • Ensure that the replacement battery you purchased is genuine and compatible with your OMEN 15 laptop.
  • Counterfeit batteries may cause compatibility issues and trigger error messages.

Driver Updates:

  • Check for any driver updates related to battery management in the Device Manager.
  • Update the battery driver if a newer version is available.

Windows Update:

  • Ensure that your Windows operating system is fully updated. Sometimes, certain issues get resolved with Windows updates.

Battery Calibration:

  • After ensuring the battery is recognized and properly connected, calibrate the battery by fully charging and then discharging it.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.-
