Product: ENVY X 360
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Recently I experienced to critical stop of my X 360 due to overhating.

External temperature was pretty normal. The air fan starts very often. Any experience like that?

It seems that without keyboard light on the situation is better.

I have a few troubleshooting steps we could try to fix the issue:  

 

Firstly let's update system bios and check: BIOS Update: Follow steps from the link: https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c00042629

Also, you can refer to this article Reducing Heat Inside the Laptop to Prevent Overheating.
