Hi I'm after getting another power supply for my HP omen so i can use it down stairs, the one Ive got is working fine but is upstairs in my music studio so the wires are at the back of everything which makes it a pain getting it out and putting back, does it need to be the same power supply or can i use one that's say 100W, like i said its just as backup for using downstairs..
My partners HP laptop power supply doesn't give enough power it's only 40 something wattage..
Also I'm looking to upgrade my NVMe from 256gb to 1tb does HP have a cloning software that i can do this, so i don't lose everything or will any do?..

What is your HP Omen 15-dc0xxx machine ? Depending on video card , It must have 150W or 200W Power adapter (PSU or charger). You have to use same (or higher) wattage rating PSU otherwise machine won't work properly. In short 100W is not enough.
For SSD drive, you can upgrade to 1TB. I don't think HP does own a cloning software, you can use many reliable free software around

Your model comes with several different AC adapters depending on which video card it came with. Easiest way to get a 2nd adapter is checking the part number on your existing adapter and do a search. They are many resellers out there.
If you use a smaller charger, it will likely run the laptop but not charge it unless it is turned off.
