Hi @rl853,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your keyboard!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
Try these steps:
1. Check Keyboard for Physical Damage
- Examine the keyboard:
- Inspect the Windows key and surrounding keys for any physical damage, debris, or stuck keys.
- Clean the keyboard with a soft, dry cloth to remove any dirt or debris.
2. Reboot Your Laptop
- Restart the laptop:
- Sometimes a simple restart can resolve temporary issues with keyboard functionality.
- Click on Start > Power > Restart to reboot your laptop.
3. Update Keyboard Driver
- Check for driver updates:
- Press Windows+X and select Device Manager.
- Expand Keyboards and right-click on your keyboard device.
- Select Update driver and choose Search automatically for updated driver software.
4. Check for Windows Updates
- Ensure Windows 11 is up-to-date:
- Go to Settings > Windows Update.
- Click on Check for updates and install any pending updates.
5. Adjust Keyboard Settings
- Modify keyboard settings:
- Go to Settings > Time & language > Typing.
- Adjust settings under Keyboard such as Filter keys, Sticky keys, and Repeat delay.
6. Run Keyboard Troubleshooter
- Use Windows Troubleshooter:
- Go to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot.
- Select Keyboard and click Run the troubleshooter.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to identify and fix issues.
I hope this helps.
