Hi @rl853,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your keyboard!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Try these steps:

1. Check Keyboard for Physical Damage

  • Examine the keyboard:
    • Inspect the Windows key and surrounding keys for any physical damage, debris, or stuck keys.
    • Clean the keyboard with a soft, dry cloth to remove any dirt or debris.

2. Reboot Your Laptop

  • Restart the laptop:
    • Sometimes a simple restart can resolve temporary issues with keyboard functionality.
    • Click on Start > Power > Restart to reboot your laptop.

3. Update Keyboard Driver

  • Check for driver updates:
    • Press Windows+X and select Device Manager.
    • Expand Keyboards and right-click on your keyboard device.
    • Select Update driver and choose Search automatically for updated driver software.

4. Check for Windows Updates

  • Ensure Windows 11 is up-to-date:
    • Go to Settings > Windows Update.
    • Click on Check for updates and install any pending updates.

5. Adjust Keyboard Settings

  • Modify keyboard settings:
    • Go to Settings > Time & language > Typing.
    • Adjust settings under Keyboard such as Filter keys, Sticky keys, and Repeat delay.

6. Run Keyboard Troubleshooter

  • Use Windows Troubleshooter:
    • Go to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot.
    • Select Keyboard and click Run the troubleshooter.
    • Follow the on-screen instructions to identify and fix issues.

I hope this helps.
