I upgraded the RAM and SSD of my laptop a while back, and bam - warranty voided when I send it for a motherboard change. Problem is, I've totally lost track of the original parts.

I'm thinking of just grabbing some replacements, same brand and mostly the same specs. Like, the original RAM was 5600MHz, but all I can find now is 4800MHz. Think that'll fly? Any chance HP will even notice (or care)? Anyone else been in this boat? Help a brother out!

Years ago I always warned people updating their laptops to keep the original parts and put them in if they ever needed to send in their HP product for service or warranty work.

Use your laptop's serial number at the HP PartSurfer to find the part numbers for the original parts for your specific laptop.

eBay is probably your best source for the original parts.
