My Pavilion X2 won't boot. I did a quick system test and got the following error code:
Failure Id: RLP6JM-79U8K2-MFGH6K-U0EQ03
I understand that this means hard drive failure.
Can I replace this drive? If so, what do I need, and where can I get it? I haven't found an option on HP site.
Thanks for any info you can give me.

What is the exact model name, product number of your laptop?
You can buy any good branded hard drive of similar form factor which is already there.
Western digital, HGST Travelstar are good brands of hard drive
After replacement of drive, you can boot from HP recovery USB to factory reset OS.

Right now you have a 2.5" hybrid hard drive which is part mechanical and a very small part SSD which acts as a cache to speed up disk. You can replace with any 2.5" sata hybrid drive. You can not insert a standard 2.5" drive as the interface and thickness is different. You can see part number in service manual on page 49. Here you also see how it is installed.
Insert the part number in google search and find online dealer. example:
You will need to reinstall OS, you can do this with rcovery disks or by downloading the media creation tool from Microsoft and running (on different computer). You can create a bootable usb drive with windows 10 on it. Make sure to choose the same edition already installed on PC, as only the same edition will be automatically activated by Microsoft once installed.

Thank you for your quick response.
I will have to make a bootable usb for recovery. Since this notebook came with windows 8.1 and I upgraded to windows 10, do I reinstall 8.1 or 10? Will Microsoft recognize this since I have to download from my desktop?
Also, in my google searching for answers, I found a youtube video of showing how to replace the hardrive, and it didn't look anything like a regular hard drive. It looked more like the green boards. Hopefully the video was showing a different model.

Your laptop came with 64gb eMMC flash storage, which came on-board soldered. If this had failed, you've to replace motherboard - to replace eMMC drive.

Your laptop came with Windows 8.1 with Bing (32-bit) OS. There is no downloadable ISO for Bing edition. Since you've upgraded successfully to Windows 10, clean install of Windows 10 Home is the option left for you, other than ordering HP Recovery USB if you've to created one previously.
