HI, I would like to upgrade my pavilion dv6 6500 amd based from hhd to ssd. Is that notebook compatible to sdd ? thank you very much for your help

Yes a 2.5 inch SATA SSD such as the Samsung 860 Evo can be installed in place of the mechanical hard drive. This is generally true of any laptop using a SATA interface for the hard drive including yours. Your model may use the SATA-2 transfer protocol instead of the newer SATA-3 but it makes very little difference in action. A SATA-3 SSD will adapt to work fine and it will still be an eye-popping performance upgrade.
