I am planning to upgrade my hp pavillion gaming laptop 15-ec0101ax (3550 H) with Samsung 980 pro SSD . Is that support in my laptop ?

Yes, the Samsung 980 Pro NVMe SSD will work fine in your notebook, but since the SSD slot is only PCIe Gen 3.0, the Gen 4.0 drive will not run at its maximum advertised read/write speeds from a Gen 3.0 slot.
