today i upgraded my laptop ram 6 gb from 2 gb but in my system only 3 gb usable why?

Because you have a 32 bit operating system. It can only address a bit less than 4 gigs and some of yours is taken up by integrated video, so 3 useable. You would have to wipe the 32 bit version of Windows and install a 64 bit version to use any more memory.
