All-in-one HP pavilion

I have a brand new HP All-in-one Pavilion.  I live in Italy, but we are using the 2 UK styles available.  I would like to use the standard American QWERTY keyboard.  Is there a way to set that up?  It is not offered as an option in the set-up and I can't figure out the keys.  They don't seem to match the symbols on the board!   The key which shows @ (third row up, 3rd key in) types something else NOT shown on the key, and the @ is at the bottom of the 3 symbols on that key.  (Sorry, I don't know how to attach a picture.)  How do I get that 3rd symbol to type?  Or is there a diagram that can show me which keys actually do what?

Hi@Crayola21, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

I reviewed your post and I understand that the keyboard layout on your computer is US instead of the UK.

I’d love to help!

I checked the product specification of your computer and it is mentioned Full-size island-style backlit keyboard with numeric keypad. However, it doesn’t confirm whether it is the UK or US layout.

While its wise to stick to the classics of CTRL+C & CTRL+V, it's always good to learn, that said, use this section to understand the meaning of those icons and symbols on your keyboard, although, it would help a lot if you could include a picture of your keyboard too:

NOTE:

On most laptop keyboards, you must press and hold the fn key before pressing the key with the symbol to perform the function.

I also checked the service guide of your computer and even there the keyboard layout information is not available.

I recommend you to contact phone support and check as the keyboard layout information is not available on the HP website or in the service manual.

Refer to the link below for the service guide.
