Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a HP pavilion laptop with a bad hard drive. Would like to install a ssd. Is this possible with this lap top. It is a 2015 model. sBoard # pfgxn028j9g03j

You can upgrade/replace existing 2.5" HDD using 2.5" SSD drive from

                     https://www.crucial.com/products/ssd/crucial-mx500-ssd

                     https://www.samsung.com/semiconductor/minisite/ssd/product/consumer/860evo/

           Or similar from reputable vendors.
                   One example (compatible drive, can use smaller/larger capacity)

Yes a 2.5 inch SATA SSD will replace the mechanical hard drive with no extra hardware needed. Just replace one for the other. See pp. 32-37 of the Manual here:

Windows 10 license will allow a new clean install without any need for a Key Code or clone old drive to new.
