The Crucial 8GB DDR4-2666 SODIMM allows you to add a combination of 2x8G/1x8G/1x16G RAM upgrades.

You can find it here with other Crucial devices for your research.

Hi, @mr_psr

Chapter 1 of the service manual indicates that the max memory is 2 x 8 GB.

HP 15 Laptop PC (Intel)HP 15g Laptop PCHP 15q Laptop PC Maintenance and Service Guide

However, many HP notebooks that have two memory slots and an Intel 8th gen core processor like yours has, can support 2 x 16 GB of memory.

You can do this to see how much memory your notebook can actually support...

1. In the search box, search for cmd and click Run as administrator.

This will open the command prompt.

2. Once command prompt is opened, type wmic memphysical get maxcapacityEx and hit enter.

There, it will show the maximum RAM capacity your PC's motherboard can support.

The capacity is shown as Kilobytes, so you have to convert it to Gigabytes by dividing the number provided in the report by 1,048,576.

can i put 2x 16 in slots? whats maximum means? 16gb at all or 16gb for each slots?
each slot can handle 16 gb but when i put 16gb in slot 1 can i put another 16 in slot 2 and make 32gb ram at all?

You're very welcome.

Your notebook has two memory slots.

Run the command I posted and if it indicates you can install 2 x 16 GB then you should be fine.

HP indicates the max memory is 2 x 8 GB, but I think you can install more memory than what HP indicates if running the command indicates you can install 32 GB.
