@lee128, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Is the USB-C port not working on the notebook?

Have you tried connecting the AC adapter or any other USB-C type device to check if the issue persists?

Shut down the computer, unplug all the inserted devices, press and hold the power button for 30 seconds, and then turn on the computer.

Check for the issue.

Install updates using HP Support Assistant

  1. In the search box, type and open HP Support Assistant.
  2. Check for updates.
  3. If the updates are available, click on install and restart the computer.

Note: If you do not have HP Support Assistant installed, Click here to download the same.

Also, check for any pending windows update. Reboot the computer.

Run the UEFI hardware diagnostic on the USB ports.

  1. Hold the power button for at least five seconds to turn off the computer.
  2. Turn on the computer and immediately press Esc repeatedly, about once every second. When the menu appears, press the F2 key.
  3. Perform Component Test > USB ports. Share the result on your next post.

You may have to insert a USB device in each port as it tests the hardware.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
