wanted to upgrade my motherboard from the current with an i3 processor with a Hp Pavilion 13-U Motherboard 903240-001 equipped with an i7. is this compatible or is there a comprable solution that is?

@rossy28, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

 

In order to check the compatibility, I would recommend you go through the Maintenance and Service Guide of your notebook. Here you will find the list of parts which are tested and compatible with your notebook.

 

Refer to page 51 where you can find the tested and compatible options of system boards.

 

Please note, these are the parts which are tested on your PC, If you wish to try other parts you can try it at your own discretion, HP Doesn't recommend any upgrade/downgrade of any hardware parts or software that is bundled with the product. It may affect the manufacturer's warranty and performance.
