warranty replacement

HP Recommended
Envy-13
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My laptop Battery was replaced a year ago within warranty period. It has again started to run down quite quickly. When I checked the health of the battery it shows an age of 3 years. That means when the battery was replaced it was already 2 year old. Isn't the support center supposed to give new parts especially for consumables like batteries?  I feel cheated having bought the 3 year extended warrantee.

Hi,

It is possible the battery was built around the date the PC was made. I usually replace the batteries in my notebooks about every 18 months or so for optimal performance. Yes, one year does not seem long, but i guess it also depends on how much the notebook is used.

If you provide the exact model number we can take a look at what battery is needed and how to replace.

Model number

Let me know,

David
