Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

my battery life on my pavilion gaming 15 is way shorter than advertised

 

on the site where i bought my laptop it said 9 hours, i took this with a grain of salt.

but my laptop only gets like 2,5 or 3 hours out of its battery. i already ran some tests to see whats wrong, but i found nothing.

i didn't calibrate my battery manually since i haven't had the time.

could someone help me with this.

Welcome to HP Support Community

 

The Battery backup time varies depending on the Apps been used. 9 hrs is based on optimum battery condition.

Mine will not even hold charge when switched off for 24hours, today I got a message pre start up that the battery needs to be replaced.

To better assist you - May I have the exact model name of the computer? Refer to this document for steps to find the product details. Do not share any of your personal information such as serial, phone number, email ID, etc.
