HP Pavilion x360 Convertible Laptop PC 15-dq2000 (9WR14AV)

I have a hp pavilion x360 convertible laptop pc 15-dq2003ca and I am looking to upgrade ram. I need to know the max capacity and type my  HP 87DE motherboard can handle.

The maximum installed memory is 32 GB.

both links provided were not for my model number, also both sites showed different max capacities. is there a way I can scan my computer to show this information. I've tried command prompt "wmic memphysical get maxcapacity, and wmic memphysical get maxcapacityEX" , however both read as not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.

Sorry about that. Perfect I am not.

I corrected the Kingston memory link

Each memory manufacturer publishes how much of their memory is supported.

That is why they won't necessarily be the same amount.

"wmic memphysical get maxcapacity" used to be a viable command when running in Admin level. It appears that Microsoft gives and takes away.

Thanks for your time it seems kingston website doesn't have my model number listed (HP Pavilion x360 Convertible 15-dq2003ca).  I'm more specifically looking for max physical ram capacity of an HP 87DE motherboard.

@Jbrewer2008

No worries. I am here to help.

Trying to find information on Memory upgrades using  "motherboard" identification will not help.

You can use the information on memory specifications in the Maintenance & Service guide for your laptop model series as a starting point.

For 8GB modules it is 260-Pin DDR4 SO-DIMM ; Speed, DDR4 2666 (PC4 21300) ; CAS Latency, 19; 1.2v

It would seem that mainstream memory manufacturers are not currently selling DDR4 modules specifically for your laptop.

It is going to be a bit of hit or miss for your memory upgrade.
