@john150361,

I reviewed your post and I understand that the fan is running constantly on the computer.

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

I recommend you boot to BIOS by tapping the F10 key on startup and then find the option “Fan Always On” and disable it.

In case if you don’t see this option in the BIOS then, I recommend you update the BIOS and the graphics driver from the below link and check if it helps.

BIOS: https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp101001-101500/sp101369.exe

Nvidia Graphics: https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp101001-101500/sp101275.exe

Intel Graphics: https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp99001-99500/sp99196.exe

Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!

Once more I have followed your instructions with no effect, still the fan runs all of the time.
It even comes on when on sleep mode. I took a video of it just doing this at some silly hour in the morning.
I honestly think this model as a big issue with the fans looking at the internet and forums.
HP need to be honest and do something for me and everyone else out there. Wish I got a DELL now. Lost all faith in HP. Next stop curry’s pc world to see what they can do, betting they will not help.
Come on HP do something.
