I read your post about the USB ports, and wanted to assist you!
Unfortunately, it seems that there are no Windows 10 drivers available for your product at this time. This is probably why the USB ports are not working correctly. You may consider using the Go back to an earlier build option, in your System Settings: HP Notebook PCs - Upgrading to Windows 10
Once you are back to your original Operating System, check to see if you are experiencing the same issue. If not, then you may consider holding off on the Windows 10 upgrade.
